FBI Considers Investigating Brad Pitt for Alleged Altercation on Flight

Pitt's wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on Monday citing irreconcilable differences.

A source. on Pitt's behalf, has been telling various news outlets today, "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children", and that "it's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light".

Earlier on Thursday, spokespersons for the Los Angeles Police Department and LA County Department of Children and Family Services denied there was any investigation underway on Pitt.

"We have no report in our record for any filings for Brad Pitt, we are not having any investigations regarding Brad Pitt", police spokesman Lorenzo Quezada told AFP.

While the LAPD shot down their involvement in the investigation, a DCFS spokesperson stated: "We're prohibited by law from disclosing case specific information or even identifying any involvement with any client".

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shocked Hollywood when news of their split broke. A police patrol vehicle seen yesterday morning entering the gated compound where Jolie and Pitt live was a standard patrol, said a police spokesman.

Messages left for Pitt's representatives were not immediately returned.

"Brad is seen yelling a lot during it, but nothing physical", the source claims.

An anonymous report was made to authorities.

He said he didn't know why the plane landed in International Falls, but said it's not uncommon for hockey players or other celebrities to stop at the airport.

Jolie and Pitt were together for 12 years, marrying in 2014, and have six children.

She's also hired Hollywood divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, whose previous clients include Johnny Depp and Khloe Kardashian. Robert Offer, an attorney for the family, said Jolie's decision was made "for the health of the family", according to an Associated Press report.

The couple first met when they played married spies in the film Mr And Mrs Smith, when Pitt was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

Both actors have, in separate statements, said their primary concern was their children and asked for privacy.
