Company faces backlash for pulling Hannity ads

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough made it clear he doesn't like speaking negatively about the competition on Friday - that was right before he bashed Fox News' Sean Hannity. O'Reilly was eventually released by the network, despite being America's highest-rated cable news host. He speculates that Hannity could end up with personalities like O'Reilly and Glenn Beck on a rival conservative news channel, perhaps one started by Sinclair Broadcast Group, the fast-growing Baltimore-area TV company.

It's also no secret that Hannity was extremely displeased with the departure of Fox News co-President Bill Shine. Like some other conservative political commentators, Sean Hannity has been fueling the theory that Rich, not Russian Federation, might have been the source of the stolen files from Hillary Clinton's campaign that was published by WikiLeaks in 2016. He accused Hannity of being "gross and repulsive" for suggesting that there was more to Rich's death than meets the eye. Suzanne Scott, the network's president of programming, and other executives met with Hannity on Tuesday and encouraged him to stop advancing the theory. "They never have and frankly they never will", Hannity said.Yesterday, Fox News retracted an online story that reported that Rich leaked DNC emails.Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich amplified the conspiracy theory on Fox News Sunday.Hannity's vacation may have been previously scheduled, but the timing raises a red flag as "The O'Reilly Factor" was axed while O'Reilly was on vacation just a month ago.

Meanwhile Fox News has been desperate to cover anything other than the disgusting missteps Trump is making on the reg.

Despite this, Sean Hannity has latched onto the conspiracy theory that Seth Rich was killed because of his involvement in the DNC hack.

Hannity continued to peddle the theory on his Twitter account after the retraction, but he later bowed to the pleas of Rich's family and said he will stop discussing the matter for now.

Thankfully, enough public outcry pushed advertisers to get Hannity to at least temporarily shut up.

One company that has become caught up in the controversy swirling around the Fox News show "Hannity" indicated it will change its marketing approach moving forward.

Thursday also saw Crowne Plaza Hotels, Cars.com, Ring.com, Leesa Mattress, Peloto and Casper, withdraw from the Fox program.

"There's nothing that I did, nothing that I said, except they don't like my position politically."
Media Matters has insisted that it is not calling for a boycott against Hannity, who will return to his show on Tuesday.

Fox News staffers have told CNNMoney that they are frustrated and embarrassed by Hannity's peddling of the conspiracy.
