Jeb Bush: I told you Trump 'would be a chaos president'

But, Trump's tweets make it more hard for the White House to stay on message, Bush said.

Participating in a wide-ranging interview at the SALT conference in Las Vegas, Bush argued that Trump's tweets undermine "a lot of people" that are trying to keep up with him.

"Unfortunately, so far chaos organizes the presidency right now", said Bush, who was seated on stage next to former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.

Mr. Bush said a big concern is administration officials leaking information to the press.

"They give our enemies all sorts of nuances, insights", Bush said.

Bush, whose father and brother had previously served in the White House, bowed out of the Republican presidential primary in February 2016, after a long slide the polls. 'People should be fired if they're disloyal to the president of the United States and leaking'.

One area of business Trump wants to refocus on is repealing and replacing Obamacare.

What does Bush view as a simple fix for the Trump White House?

Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida, speaks during the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, Calif., May 1, 2017.

He lambasted the president and his team of "over-age white guys" authoring the health care bill, saying that more diverse input would prevent "stupid mistakes", CNN notes.

Trump's early stumbles are already turning attention to 2020.

When asked about the recent appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special counsel on the Russian Federation investigation, following FBI Director James Comey's abrupt and surprise firing last week, Bush said that it was a necessary step and could actually be a "good thing" for the Trump and his administration.
