Ryan has full confidence in Trump

President Donald Trump on Thursday said there was no collusion between his campaign and Russian Federation, while adding the caveat that he can only speak for himself, and denied ever asking FBI Director James Comey to back off his agency's investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Collins told CNN's "New Day" on Wednesday that reports surrounding Comey's firing and about a memo detailing a meeting with Trump in which the President asked him to stop his investigation into Flynn were "deeply troubling".

Before speaking with reporters, Ryan told rank-and-file Republicans in a closed-door meeting that he supported the ongoing House and Senate Intelligence panels' investigations into Russian Federation hacking, as well as a third being carried out by the FBI.

"I can not otherwise explain the accusations of the president that he handed Lavrov some sort of secrets", Putin added.

Adam Shaw is a political reporter for Breitbart News.

According to sources cited in the report, that intelligence came from a USA ally who had not authorised Washington to pass it on to Moscow.

"Look at the way I've been treated lately". No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly. We're four months into this new administration, little over that, and he needs to right the ship.

"And I'm sure we're going to want to hear from Mr. Comey about why, if this happened as he allegedly describes, why he didn't take action at the time", he continued.

Pressure on the White House intensified after Trump fired Comey, who had been leading a federal probe into the matter, and allegations that Trump had asked Comey to end the FBI investigation into ties between Flynn and Russian Federation. "He is a good guy".

"This is not about the president firing the Federal Bureau of Investigation director because he was investigating someone else, it's because the Federal Bureau of Investigation was - director was investigating the president himself", he added. "I hope you can let this go".

Comey kept memos of conversations he had with the president, the Times reported.

"If true, these memoranda raise questions as to whether the president attempted to influence or impede the FBI's investigation as it relates to Lieutenant General Flynn", wrote committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, a Republican.
