Watch Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer Ride Motorized Podium Through NYC

Actress Melissa McCarthy on Friday made an appearance on 58th Street in NY, driving a motorized version of the White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's podium. McCarthy dances while lip-syncing to the song "I Feel Pretty". Haim will join the comedian as the musical guest on Saturday.

This is the second preview this week of McCarthy's upcoming performance this Saturday.

Evidently, Melissa McCarthy's May 13 Saturday Night Live hosting gig might stop traffic.

McCarthy told The Ellen Degeneres Show in March that a friend at NBC first suggested she play Spicer, and she was amazed (and a little horrified) by how seamlessly the character developed.

If you know that President Donald Trump absolutely hates your impression of his press secretary, how would you advertise the fact that you will be reprising that role in a future "Saturday Night Live" skit?

McCarthy lunges toward the camera angrily as if ready to attack.

The Washington Post said Spicer "spent several minutes" hidden in bushes behind the media sets on the White House grounds. Following the somewhat inexact news that Spicer had hidden in bushes from reporters following the surprise firing of Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey - in fact, as a correction clarified, he had huddled with his staff "among" the bushes - McCarthy posted a video of herself as Spicey going ballistic with the caption "Straight out da bushes". Spicer agreed to answer questions but insisted the lights be turned off.
