Facebook celebrates Pride Month with new filters, reactions

While Ivanka Trump tweeted a statement of support for pride month, it was widely seen as a sign that her influence with her father was waning. "From removing LGBT families from being counted in the next US Census to this latest action of not recognizing Pride month, the Trump administration has proven once again that they are fundamentally hostile to our existence and reject the notion for full equality".

The celebration, which is symbolized by a rainbow flag, is a positive stance against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people to promote their self-affirmation, dignity, equal rights, increase their visibility as a social group, build communities, and celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance.

Last year's Pride Festival attracted 200,000 people including some 30,000 tourists from around the world.

For the entire month, Facebook will provide a rainbow frame you can add to your profile picture to celebrate Pride.

The second, is a "colorful, limited-edition Pride Reaction" that you can use during Pride Month - the Reaction is akin to expressing your "Pride" on the post. Furthermore, users might also see an animation in the News Feed if the user reacts to the "Happy Pride" message. He says it is a great symbol of the city's growing support and trust between the LGBT community and the police force. To acknowledge this, Mark Zuckerberg has added a number of new features to Facebook. In order to prevent this, Instagram has started a new campaign.

His silence has actually halted the Pride Month initiatives of government agencies that were waiting for the LGBT Pride Month Proclamation to be signed, Politico reports.

"From our support of marriage equality and bullying prevention, to the many product experiences that we've brought to life, we are proud of our attention to the LGBTQ experience on Facebook, often thanks to the many LGBTQ people and allies who work here", Schultz said.
