Liberals triggered by Sessions 'mansplaining' to Democrat Kamala Harris

At the hearing for Attorney General Jeff Sessions Tuesday afternoon, Harris was asking about a Department of Justice policy Sessions repeatedly referred to when Sen. A black woman can't question a white attorney general? John McCain of Arizona and admonished by the chairman of the committee.

"How was Senator Harris hysterical?"

During her questioning of Sessions, Harris didn't allow Sessions time to fully answer her questions.

Earlier in the segment, CNN political commentator and former Trump campaign spokesperson Jason Miller commended Sessions for having "knocked away some of the hysteria from Kamala Harris and some of the Democrats who wanted to make this a big partisan show".

"Did you have any communication with any Russian businessmen or Russian nationals?", Harris asked. "If I don't qualify, you accuse me of lying, so I need to be correct as best as I can", Sessions said.

Asked by Harris about the policy's origin, he began discussing its principle.

Harris was seeking to draw some honesty from Sessions when it was her time to interrogate the man.

POWERS: She didn't shout, actually, but even if she did, I'm just saying that they both were asking a lot of tough questions and I think calling her hysterical is probably a little gendered thing to say.

"If any brief interaction occurred in passing with the Russian ambassador during that reception, I do not remember it", Sessions said.

"We talked about the real principle that's at stake".

SESSIONS: I'm unable to answer the questions.

The exchange was an nearly exact repeat of last week, when McCain cut in on her intense questioning of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and committee Chairman Richard Burr told her to stop and let Rosenstein answer.

Shortly after the exchange, Harris tweeted, "It was a simple question".
