Michigan's Perry back with football team as he awaits trial

Six months after MI said that Grant Perry would be "indefinitely suspended" while awaiting trial on charges of criminal sexual conduct and assaulting a police officer, the wide receiver is back with the team. Perry is next scheduled to appear in court on July 17.

MI coach Jim Harbaugh spoke to campers Friday night in Ohio. Harbaugh, though, said he expects Perry to be at camp this fall.

They open their season against Florida in Dallas, host Michigan State on October 7, play at Penn State on October 21 (likely in prime time) and, of course, finish the regular season at home against Ohio State on November 25. He was suspended again before the Orange Bowl and missed spring practice functions once the four charges were given in December.

He will be Michigan's leading returning receiver with 23 career catches.

Grant Perry is scheduled for a court date of July 17 and Jim Harbaugh confirmed on Friday his status with MI.

MI and Nike have partnered to design an alternate uniform that will be used at least one time this fall.

"We talked about it (with Nike) and when we first signed up with Nike we said that's something we'd be interested in, they were interested in it".

He said it will be worn "at least once this year". "Some people like the element of surprise". "I don't know if I'm at liberty to say which one". I accused Don Brown of some recruiting going on there.

"It's been an unbelievable partnership (with Nike, )" he said.

Finally, another position change is in the mix, and it's one we reported several weeks ago.

Jim Harbaugh also shared a nice tid-bit that Brad Hawkins will move to safety. 'Don Brown got to him'. We haven't investigated the whole thing yet.
