Patty Jenkins yet to sign up for 'Wonder Woman' sequel

Baroness Paula von Gunther was created by William Moulton Marston as the first recurring enemy of Wonder Woman. Fans of the DC universe can rest assured that Wonder Woman treats the source material with respect.

Diana Prince finds herself in Europe in her origin story, but Jenkins plans to move her stateside for the next film.

Although the film is set in 1918, speaking to our Entertainment Team, Gal Gadot said she believes "all of Wonder Woman's values are really relevant", explaining she is all about "love and compassion and truth and justice".

From 2D drawings in old comics to Gal Gadot's newest representation in the "Wonder Woman" movie that hit theaters this week, Wonder Woman has been taking on sexism for years. "I mean, Wonder Woman, number one movie in the whole world". Turns out, Gal Gadot was actually pregnant while shooting the action-packed film-something that's made her a superhero IRL.

"Wonder Woman" is getting a lot of praise after its opening weekend, and it deserves it.

In March 2017, director Patty Jenkins told EW, "The story will take place in the US, which I think is right".

Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior.

In the case of most franchises, especially superhero movies, sequels perform better at the box office than the first installments. She took over Wonder Woman after Michelle MacLaren left over creative differences. "I was 18, I just graduated high school and I had some time in between going to the army", she shared.

"I'm not a big obligation person when it comes to art". When asked by UpRoxx when the movie would take place Jenkins was very tight lipped, "It is for sure - I'm definitely planning something more interesting using that period of time". But what's important to me is that girls like my niece now have another story of success paving the way to their own, hopefully brighter, future.
