Visitors horrified as live donkey is fed to tigers at zoo

A live donkey was killed after it was pushed into an enclosure with three tigers at a zoo in China.

The incident quite shocking and horrific in nature evoked a strong reaction from the audiences watching on the social media.

Footage caught by a spectator at the park shows the terrified animal clinging on before being pushed into a moat surrounding the big cat compound.

As soon as the donkey fell into the water, one tiger attacked it by snapping at its head and neck and the other one tried to paw at its face. At a zoo in eastern China, a donkey became an object of freaky routine as he was thrown live in front of ferocious tigers.

Sure, I understand the concept of feeding the tiger protein, but throwing a live donkey into a captive environment is savage and downright cruel.

But they were stopped by security and then tried to push the animals into the tiger enclosure instead, the official told the newspaper.

A shareholder involved in a dispute with the zoo was reportedly behind the incident. Watch this video to find out more about the incident.

The shareholder had arranged for the group of men to take some of the zoo's animals, including the donkey, outside and sell them.
