West Salem Baptist Church to host Bible School June 19 through 23

The Christian Women's Council of Bethany Word of Life Tabernacle, 6808 Paluxy Drive in Tyler, will have a Women's Missionary Sunday program at 10 a.m. July 30 on the church campus. The day will begin with morning worship at 10:30, with the Rev. Julia Brown Karimu, president of the Division of Overseas Ministries of First Christian's denomination, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), preaching. Classes for preschool through adults in church fellowship hall.

Vacation Bible School volunteers meeting Thursday, June 8, 6:30 p.m.at the church. Children through sixth grade are welcome.

Trinity UMC, 185 Boulevard NE, to hold Vacation Bible School 5:15-7:45 p.m. Monday-Thursday, June 12-15. Vacation Bible School: 6-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 12-16. The theme is "Glow for Jesus - Let Your Light Shine".

Piney Grove United Methodist Church: hosts free pizza and a movie every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be worship, games, food and more.

Gospel great Sandi Patty performs patriotic anthems, American songbook classics and songs of faith and worship, accompanied by church's Zadok Choir & Orchestra, 7 p.m. June 25 at Abba's House, 5208 Hixson Pike. Elementary school students to senior citizens. Dinner will be served between the services.

Amazing Race VBS A block party kick-off for Vacation Bible School will be held Saturday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.at the Flora Presbyterian Church, 211 S. Center St. Classes available for all ages and all are welcome to attend.

Concordia Lutheran Church, 1431 Sixth St., will add definition to Martin Luther's Reformation writings on "Christian Freedom" as Pastor Matt Shive teaches on "Christ's Authority", as preached by Martin Luther, at its 9 a.m. adult Bible class Sunday.

Father's House Church: 2833 Fort Wayne St.: Worship 10 a.m. with Pastor Steve Orsillo.

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, at 492 Shiloh Road, Jenkinsburg, will celebrate its pastor's 25th anniversary with a banquet at 4 p.m. June 24.

Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church: LCMS, Foothill Boulevard and Edgewood Drive: Worship service, 9 a.m. Children's church for 10 and younger during worship.

- Autumn Blaze, Southwest-themed dinner, horse demonstrations, family activities and bonfire worship service, 5:30-8:30 p.m. October 22 at Rhea County Saddle Club on Delaware Avenue in Dayton, Tenn.

The theme this year is "Hero Central: Discover your strength in God". All children from the community and the surrounding area are encouraged to attend.
