Xbox One X: Microsoft's Gaming Comeback or Just Another PS4 Pro?

"We've got great support from the company to go do that". The unfair pricing is going to hold down the new Xbox and Sony will continue to sell more games and consoles.

I personally think the answer is somewhere in between but closer to PS4 Pro status.

The Xbox One X is here.

After a relatively quiet period with Sony and Microsoft congratulating each other with announcements and launches, Xbox's Phil Spencer has told Eurogamer that he sees the PlayStation 4 Pro as a competitor to the Xbox One S, not the Xbox One X.

Spencer also used this argument to justify the $100 price premium over the PS4 Pro ($499 versus $399). It does offer impressive 4K gaming and it does sport some huge muscles that can even give PCs a run for their money, but it is still an expensive hardware with few practical advantages.

Remarkably, the new Xbox One X is not only more powerful but also smaller than the existing Xbox One S, which was already 40% smaller than the original Xbox One console launched in 2015.

The new console was revealed by Microsoft at its E3 2017 conference on Sunday. Though there haven't been many games announced as part of the program, the simple fact that users will eventually get to play old-school Xbox games is exciting. Sony is comfortably in the lead in the video game market and can just continue to dominate with exciting PS4 games.

The most powerful game console will cost $600 in Canada on November 7 when the Xbox One X is released worldwide. It also supports native 4K resolution, which means games that can run in the higher resolution will work without trouble on the Xbox One X.

Among the exclusive titles is Crackdown 3, the most recent release in the over-the-top open world action-adventure game franchise.

So I highly doubt people will try very hard to get their hands on a $499 console that offers better processing power and visuals over a $249 and even cheaper equivalent that has all the same features and games in nearly unrecognizably different quality.
