BlackBerry Motion Specs, Features: TCL Officially Launches New Mid-Range Phone

Making its debut at this week's GITEX technology trade show in Dubai, the new Blackberry Motion is not only a Blackberry phone that exists, but an all-touchscreen model that bears a striking similarity to some of the more popular handsets on the market. The device comes with a Snapdragon 625 chipset which is supported by 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded using an additional MicroSD card of up to 2TB.

Though it certainly is different from the BlackBerry KEYone, the new BlackBerry Motion still shares some aspects with the former. Considering the 5.5-inch screen is "only" full HD, we'd expect it to comfortably last a whole day at least.

The BlackBerry Motion is an all-touch smartphone created to "empower the most challenging, on-the-go lifestyle". There's also a fingerprint scanner on the front in the home button.

BlackBerry a 4000mAh battery and also sports IP67 water resistance, which is one feature not seen on numerous mid-range smartphones. You can even juice it to 50 percent capacity in just 40 minutes with Quick Charge 3.0.

The Motion is aimed towards professional users, and is loaded with BlackBerry's signature business and security-oriented apps. There's a dual tone LED flash on the back too, while on the front you'll find an 8-megapixel camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens and light-up LCD flash.

If past releases are anything to go by, the BlackBerry Motion could have a release date in some markets before its worldwide launch.

BlackBerry after a long period of distress has finally ditched their signature keyboard with Blackberry Motion. The new phone matches the leaked images and this one will be sold in Middle East for around $460, according to reports.

Despite being a mid-range device, the BlackBerry Motion has a fingerprint reader. BlackBerry Motion is running Android Nougat 7.1, and there's no Android Oreo on this one.
