Trump Criticizes GOP Sen. Bob Corker; Corker Fights Back

Bob Corker is not alone in questioning President Trump's fitness for office, even on the Republican side.

More recently, Corker has criticized Trump, taking issue with the president's response to a white supremacist demonstration in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August.

"Now he's embarrassed the president because what he's saying is the president is not in charge of his own administration", Stirewalt commented. "I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without my endorsement.)" Trump tweeted Sunday morning.

During the US political fight over the agreement, which was opposed by every Republican in Congress, Corker co-wrote the law that required congressional approval for the deal and required the president to certify that Iran was complying every 90 days. Already, there was the prospect of even more elbow room to say what he wants and to vote how he pleases over the next 15 months as Trump and the party's leaders on Capitol Hill struggle to get their agenda on track.

But Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Illinois Republican, said he doesn't know where Mr. Corker's comments are coming from. She added that the president's door is always open to speak with lawmakers privately. Corker is a valuable member of the Senate Republican caucus and he's also on the Budget committee and a particularly important player as we move to the floor on the budget next week and he's an important part of our team'.

President Donald Trump revealed a crisis of nicknames this morning on Twitter, crowning Sen. He also singled out Tillerson, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and the White House chief of staff John Kelly as the "people that help separate our country from chaos", seeming to deliberately omit Trump. "It might feel good for a second".

Corker is the latest Republican to face Trump's wrath.

Two recent observations by Sen.

Corker announced last week that he would not seek reelection in 2018 when his term ends.

He said Corker wanted to be Secretary of State, and accused the senator of being responsible for "the horrendous Iran Deal" - a 2015 agreement that limited Tehran's nuclear program, which Trump has now threatened to decertify.
