10-Year Old Successfully Unlocks His Mom's iPhone X Using Face ID

A video of a mom and her 10-year-old kid had surfaced online demonstrating how easy it is for a kid to unlock their parents iPhone X. In the video, the mom first showed that Face ID was configured to her face and then she passed the device to her son.

The family posted a video of the facial-recognition feat Tuesday on YouTube. According to the reports the screens of the iPhone X were being unresponsive and inaccurate whenever the weather was cold and this required users to lock and unlock the phone in order to use it.

Cybersecurity researchers have claimed they can fool the iPhone X's Face ID feature with a simple mask. But in a shocker, a 10-year-old accidentally unlocked his mother's iPhone using his face which was not even registered in the phone.

According to the Wired, the 10-year-old kid did not just unlocked his mother's phone, but after discovering that he was able to breach phone's security on his mother's phone, he tried hands on another iPhone X, which was of his father, and succeeded there too. He had been forbidden to take in hand the smartphone's parents, but he could not resist the temptation and after a few minutes walked the Face ID feature that undertakes the identification of the owner of the gadget in the face. The son was also able to unlock his father's phone, but only in one instance.
