Amazon Music App now supports Chromecast

Amazon Music App now supports Chromecast

In its latest update, the Amazon Music app has now added support for the Google Chromecast, meaning you'll be able to play Amazon Music tracks through your Chromecast enabled devices using your Android phone.

For just 99p, yes you read that correctly, you can get three months of Amazon Music Unlimited. 99p! Whatever be the reasoning for this feature, it is a great move for the consumers.

The Chromecast integration has been showing up for a couple of weeks inside the Amazon Music app: TechHive reported it at the start of the month, but at the time it was only showing for some devices.

You can sign up to Amazon Music Unlimited here, and go whole-hog with a Prime membership here. This service also sets itself apart from the competition by having a lower monthly fee for Prime Members - $7.99 instead of $9.99 for non-members - so if you don't have any deep loyalty to your current service, it's a good deal. Tap the new "Alexa" button and ask Alexa to play new music, play a song by its lyrics, play work-out music, or many other Alexa supported commands or questions, all from within the app.

- Chromecast Support: You can now select music on your Android device, and have the music play on your Chromecast enabled devices.

Speaking of the Echo, Amazon also has an Echo-only subscription deal that allows users to stream songs to the smart speaker for £3.99 a month. The company is also bringing several curated photo themes. Then, select the photos and continue. It seems that long fight with Google is getting cold and now the Amazon is integrating the Chromecast functionality with the Amazon Music App.
