The same user also made a video comparing a new-gen Pixel with the Pixel from a year ago, and the issue clearly seems to be with the Pixel 2.

According to several user accounts, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL cameras tend to produce flickering and banding when LED lighting is in view.

Previously, it was reported that the Pixel 2 phones were suffering from a washed out screen and display artifacts, burn-in issues, mysterious crackling noises and even the inability to register taps, and now issues with the camera. This happened with both video and photo.

The latest problem to crop is concerns the camera and how it reacts to LED lighting.

According to Google Forums, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 customers have experienced unusual image banding in their photos and videos, taken via front and rear cameras with LED flash. Also you'll notice the poor audio on the video. Google did release a new update this month to fix some of the issues that users have been facing but it looks like there is more. However, there's no official word on whether Google is taking the problem on priority and when it will roll out a fix.
