Livingston shines in Curry's absence as Warriors roll to seventh straight win

The Golden State Warriors are beginning to look the part as the most dominant team in the National Basketball Association, as the team has rattled off six consecutive victories in impressive fashion. The veteran point guard has averaged 11.5 Fanduel points in 16.5 minutes per game this year. Shaun Livingston will get the start in Curry's place Monday.

The Warriors felt the absence of Stephen Curry, sidelined with a right thigh contusion, early after falling behind by five in the first quarter. Kevin Durant sat out the Warriors' win against Minnesota last Wednesday. He has scored 20-plus points in all but one game.

After heading to the locker rooms tied at 56-56, the teams returned to the floor in the third quarter and Golden State again used its excellent conditioning to create wide open opportunities and generate meaningful separation from Orlando.

Still, the Warriors are fully capable of holding serve, especially at home, against an improved Magic team without him and that is what makes Golden State all the more terrifying. And Golden State outscored Orlando, 32-19, in the period to take an 88-75 lead to the fourth.

Orlando, which dropped a 125-107 game in Denver on Saturday, also features ex-Warrior Marreese Speights in a reserve role.

Ultimately, even without Curry to open up the Warriors' offense, Golden State had all the star power it needed to collect another blowout victory.

After Monday's game, the Warriors fly to Boston to face the red-hot Celtics in a nationally televised game Thursday.
