Pep Guardiola wary of Huddersfield after their win over Manchester United

Sterling is City's leading marksman - one ahead of both Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero - with an average of a goal every 89 minutes.

Sterling has often been criticised for his finishing in the past but is averaging a goal every 89 minutes this season following his victor in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Asked if he was surprised that Sterling was his top scorer: "Yes - but it's good".

"Sergio didn't play all the games, Gabriel too". At home they've had good results.

'We're going to celebrate how many goals (he scores) and next season we're going to have that record to break.

City scored over 100 goals in that 2013/14 campaign, one of only three clubs in Premier League clubs to reach the century mark in a 38-game season, and are on course to do so again after incredibly scoring 40 times in just 12 games so far. "We have goals from wingers, from set-pieces Kevin (De Bruyne), Nico (Otamendi) - it's so important".

On the injury front, Guardiola said everyone is fit and also confirmed that skipper Vincent Kompany will be available for selection following his return to action after a two-and-a-half month lay-off in last weekend's 2-0 triumph at Leicester.

City's title rivals Manchester United were surprisingly beaten at Huddersfield in October with Jose Mourinho saying that the Terriers "wanted it more."

"It's going to be a hard away game for us, just as Brighton, Bournemouth and Leicester were, but I believe that our team is focused and well prepared to go there and fight for another win", Ederson told the club's website. We know that because we have experience of that. "But all the managers try to do it".

'We weren't able to win there last season and we realised how complicated it is to play there, ' the Catalan added.

"But at the end it's the game".

"Well, we have to accept the rules, it is what it is", said Guardiola.

'He has to just focus on playing well and getting better, ' Guardiola said.

"We have a lot of players who can score and that's good".
