Rose McGowan surrenders to police over drugs arrest warrant

It is unclear which substance, but the charge is specific to possession of a schedule I or II narcotic, authorities told THR.

Actress Rose McGowan, a leading voice against sexual harassment in Hollywood, has accepted an arrest warrant on a drug charge in a Washington suburb.

On Tuesday, McGowan appeared in Loudoun County, Virginia, to accept service of the Airports Authority Police arrest warrant.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said McGowan left personal belongings on United flight 653 after arriving at Dulles on January 20.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department obtained the warrant on February 1. She confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she was referring to disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Preston‏ was alluding to aNew York Times interview where she claims she was offered $1million by someone close to Weinstein in return for signing a nondisclosure agreement.

McGowan turned herself in in Loudoun County, Virginia, and was served with the arrest warrant. What a load of HORSES**T.,' she also tweeted.

In a series of tweets on October 12, 2017, McGowan said Weinstein raped her and Amazon Studios ignored her complaints.

The Charmed star was under police investigation after two bags of cocaine were found in her purse after it was found on a United Airlines plane.
