Vidya Balan shuts up journo who asks if she'll lose weight

"What is the connection between women-oriented films and weight loss?"

One of the most versatile and successful actresses of Bollywood Vidya Balan, was recently fat-shamed in a press meet and it's really saddening. Vidya is busy promoting her upcoming film "Tumhari Sulu". Without going under a knife, Vidya has worked on her own terms.

However, it's really hard to change people's perspective who think a well toned up body of a woman can only be called glamorous.

It's about time the media takes heed to Vidya's statement and brings about a change in its gaze. The story revolves around a house maker who chances upon an opportunity of becoming a RJ. The trailer of the film is receiving good reviews on YouTube with people appreciating Vidya Balan's "bindaas" avatar. Well, because of her talented acting skills and not because her body weight will suit the character. Is she planning to change the genre and lose some weight? "We have seen you in films that are woman-centric". The journo even explained his question and said if she will ever think of having a glamorous body. For example, in Hollywood, The Representation Project started an online campaign, titled #AskHerMore, as an effort to ask actresses questions on the red carpet beyond the usual ones on fashion and jewellery. But she made a comeback and gave a savage reply.

"I was told he has been given dates, so you have to work around them, but I was never asked like that".

"It feels amusing how inspite of being the most populated country in the world, we still don't talk about sex openly", Vidya said.

Sadly, Youtube commenters seem to have a whole other point of view.
