Android 8.0 Oreo update now rolling out to Huawei Mate 9

As we have seen in the Huawei Mate 10 couple of months ago, the Huawei Mate 9 and Mte 9 Pro also have the man Artificial Intelligence powered features with the rolling out of the new batch of updates. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA) to the phones and will reach all Chinese consumers over the coming days. The great thing about EMUI 8.0 is that it is based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

No information when the global variant of the Huawei Mate 9 will be available but it should roll out soon. First of all, users running B322 of Android Oreo beta program are first to receive the update, beginning December 5. Another Mate 10 feature which has now migrated is the built-in desktop mode, known as "Projection", which allows you to use your phone as a PC by connecting it to peripheral devices.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is the first device of its kind to be powered by the new Kirin 970 processor which takes the phone from "smart" to "intelligent" - leveraging AI technology for a faster, more customised mobile experience. The new device is packed with AI-powered photographic algorithms to help you take the flawless image. Make sure you are on latest pre-Oreo build to be able to receive Oreo OTA.

The new Android 8.0 Oreo update with EMUI 8.0 is rolled out in China region only. And when it learns about the apps you use the least or do not need, it compresses them in the memory and save more space to keep your device ready for a fast performance at any time of the day. The device also features a 3D Glass Body, which is beautifully and symmetrically curved on all four sides for an ergonomic hold with a reflective band design on the back to highlight the New Leica Dual Camera.
