A ton of Huawei Nova 2s images surfaced in the last week or two, and the company has finally announced the device.

We don't expect the Huawei Nova 2s to have a screen resolution or battery capacity advantage either, but the cameras are a different story.

Huawei Nova 2s, as can be seen, will be sold in at least three colors.

The Huawei Nova 2s is made out of metal and glass, all of its physical keys are placed on the right, while the SIM card tray lies on the left.

The device is powered by anOcta-Core HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC with an IntelliSense i6 sensor hub and Mali G71 Octa-core GPU.The phone will be available in 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage models. Furthermore, the Nova 2S is expected to have a fingerprint reader positioned at the front panel, which could also function as a home button.

The Huawei Nova 2s boasts of a 6-inch FHD+ LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The dual front cameras are 20-megapixel and 2-megapixel, and the Nova 2S has two more rear cameras that are 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel with a dual LED flash, according to a spec leak reported by Android Headlinestoday.

The imaging aspects of the Nova 2s comprises of a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 16MP main camera and a 20MP secondary camera with PDAF, LED flash, 4K video recording and f/1.8 aperture. The front optics arrangement also has two shooters - one wide-angle 20-megapixel lens and an additional 2-megapixel camera for achieving portrait mode in selfies.

Android Headlines compare the leaked design of Huawei Nova 2S to the previously launched flagship phone, Mate 10. Do keep in mind that Huawei released the special edition "Yixing Zhang" customized version of the phone which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as well, and that variant is priced at 3,399 Yuan ($514).
