Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah's grandfather found dead in Ahmedabad

Indian cricket team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is played his first ODI match against Sri Lanka in Dharamshala, his grandfather Santokh Singh Bumrah was found dead in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Bumrah's grandfather Santok Singh Bumrah's body was found by the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) today. As per Ahmedabad Mirror, the report stated, "He expressed a wish to meet his grandson on his birthday on December 5". "He expressed a wish to meet his grandson on his birthday on December 5".

However, in a report from Ahmedabad Mirror, a complaint mention of Santok, who showed up at his daughter Rajinder's place at Sonal Appartments in Vastrapur on December 1. Sources added that Santokh had seen Jasprit on television and had wanted to meet his grandson who is a national cricketer.

A local TV channel said Santok Singh had alleged that Jasprit was not home when he went to meet him and that the cricketer's mother didn't let him meet him later on.

Santokh Singh, once a successful businessman, was driving an autorickshaw in Kiccha village of Uttarakhand.

"She [Bumrah's mother] even refused to share her son's phone number so that father could talk to him". The complaint of him missing was lodged at Vastrapur Police Station which also stated that Santokh had called his other son and informed him that he was going to meet his deceased wife. Santok who was assisted by Jasprit's father, Jasbir in the business, later sold the business after the death of Jasbir. My father was grief-stricken by this.

The 24-year-old Ahmedabad-born pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, a regular in One Day Internationals and T20s for India, was recently picked in the squad for Test series against South Africa beginning next month.
