Texas officials release 2012 video of Randy Travis drunk driving arrest

The footage of country singer Randy Travis' 2012 arrest was released on Monday, shortly after he lost another bid to keep the tape sealed.

We will be posting some of the video in the next hour, but this is a screen grab of Travis in the police vehicle.

Travis' family has been in a long legal battle to stop the release of the footage and argued in a federal filing that it should be considered private under health record privacy regulations.

The dashboard camera footage was taken while authorities were responding to the scene of a one-car crash outside of Tioga, Texas and discovered an unclothed Travis lying in the road.

"I pray to God that he will have a cancerous growth that infects his bones and every part of his body", Travis said.

So savage. Per the troopers, Randy's blood alcohol was twice the legal limit.

Eventually, the I Told You So singer pleaded guilty to the incident and received two years of probation, a $2,000 fine, and a 180-day suspended jail sentence. "Ok, we're going to take you home", the trooper said.

In a lawsuit, Travis claimed he got drunk and naked because he was worn out from his busy concert schedule. TMZ first released a screenshot from the video Monday afternoon and promised to upload a portion of the video, while a news station in Sherman (north Texas, y'all) tweeted the video Monday evening.

"What that directed towards me, Mr. Travis?" the officer said. You insulted me by locking me up in a goddamn cage, basically, with handcuffs behind me with my d- hanging out.

Travis: "Because you're a dead man in under 10 minutes". And I'm proud of my d-, it's bigger than most, but you insulted me.

"A man of integrity with a good heart, Randy does not and will never condone these type of actions that distort the true beliefs of Randy Travis and his entire family".

"So you think you G** Damn got the right to do me this way?" Travis suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013 that left him with limited speaking ability, making him unable to verbally defend himself in the case.
