The bezel-less display have become a necessity these days. If this happens to be true, the company will be ditching the OmniBalance design language that it started implementing in 2013 in favor of the new trend - full-screen design. But even the Japanese conglomerate knows that it needs to keep up with the times, which is why we could see the company finally hop on the bezel-less bandwagon with two upcoming Xperia smartphones. The new Xperia phones might be unveiled on CES or MWC in the beginning of next year. Right off the bat, you'll notice that the devices look pretty different from the existing lineup of Sony smartphones but at least one of them doesn't compromise on that Sony DNA. The smartphone with less rounded corners and a shiny back is supposed to be the flagship model. The upper and the bottom of the phone the comes with matte finish.

The two lenses of the higher-end handset's camera seem oddly separated. The remaining portion appears glossy.

The leaked images were shared by GizChina and it shows both the smartphones will feature a bezel-less tall display, which sports an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is also reported to come with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset that was announced this week.

Furthermore, sources have also revealed the features of the upcoming flagship which includes dual front-facing speakers, a dual rear camera, and a 4K screen of unknown size (probably at least 5.5 inches). These are early renders of the upcoming Xperia devices suggesting Sony's roadmap in 2018, but are in no way set in stone. The dual rear camera setup is seem lying on the rear panel along with LED flash on the side and a fingerprint sensor below camera sensor. From the rumored specs, we can make out that this device could be an upgraded variant of the Xperia XZ Premium.

As far as the second device is concerned, it will reportedly have more pronounced rounded corners but with the same stereo speaker arrangement on the front. Some renders have now surfaced giving us a look at what we can expect from Sony in 2018.
