Wenger rules out Sanchez, Ozil exits in January

Rumor has it that Ozil would like a 300k per week deal to stay at The Emirates stadium.

Nevertheless, the same source suggests that the failure to do so will tempt Arsene Wenger to cash in on his services as he does not want to release the former Real Madrid man on a free at the end of the season.

Although it was said that Arsenal had previously given up any hope in holding on to the playmaker, The Sun report that there is now renewed hope that the German worldwide will sign a 3-year contract to keep him at Arsenal, before the end of this month.

Ozil presently earns a salary package of around £140,000-a-week, and any potential extension would see him command a significant wage rise on top of a huge signing-on bonus.

Manchester City were summer suitors for Sanchez while Ozil, who has been among Arsenal's best players in recent weeks, has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The World Cup victor has been recently linked with a potential move to Old Trafford, but the ongoing talks are likely to emerge a bitter blow for Jose Mourinho, who is said to eye a reunion with the former Real Madrid man.

However, if a deal is not struck, they will look to offload him in the January window for whatever fee they can recoup. However, Arsenal are said to prefer a sale overseas than to Premier League rivals.

Although holding on to Ozil may be a big coup for Arsenal, it might not be the best signing for Man Utd.

Arsenal thrashed Huddersfield Town 5-0 on Thursday as a second-half onslaught helped to maintain their 100 percent home record in the Premier League this season.

With both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata struggling at Old Trafford, Ozil could be the ideal fit for the No 10 position with United chasing City at the top.
