This is now confirmed to be the HTC U11 EYEs, courtesy notable tipster Evan Blass.

The HTC U11 EYEs also comes with dual front-facing cameras, while on the back it still has a single shooter.

In 2017, HTC was listed among the top-20 Taiwanese global brands after reaching a US$ 1.1 billion deal with Google.

Other specs include 64 GB of expandable storage, an IP67 rating for protection against water, and Edge Sense that lets you open an app of choice by squeezing the device. Despite the 6-inch Super LCD display the front bezels seems to be thinner and the corners are noticeably rounded off. There's a miniscule chance that the event is for something else, but considering information that suggests a mid-january release for the HTC U11 EYEs, it's nearly certain that the event will be an official announcement.

What we know is that there will be two cameras on the front and one on the back, there will also be a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device.

There is also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone's storage capacity using a microSD card. The phone's display also suggests a launch on January 15. According to some rumors, HTC U11 EYEs to be Unveiled on January 15.

The HTC U11 EYEs will likely cost around $400 in Hong Kong. The device is speculated to be backed up a large 3,930mAh battery for keeping the lights on. Both versions of the phone will run Android Nougat, but the higher-end model should perform slightly better.

There's no mention when will be the release date or availability but we're crossing our fingers during the first quarter of the year or at least just before other OEMs introduced their new phones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain next month.
