He's actually curating and producing Black Panther: The Album, and the lead single - by Kendrick and SZA - has dropped.

An exclusive Black Panther trailer that played at San Diego Comic-Con during Marvel's Hall H panel used Lamar's hit song "DNA". The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture.

The "HUMBLE" rapper and Top Dawg will be working directly with Coogler to create music specific to the film.

Top called working on "such a powerful movie" a "great opportunity" and a revealed a sign of things to come: "We're always working on new goals at TDE, so teaming up with Disney, Marvel Studios and the Black Panther film makes ideal sense".

The first song off the "Black Panther" soundtrack has now officially been released.

Lamar will write, produce and perform songs on the soundtrack in what will be the first time he's ever done so for a major movie. Kendrick hinted at his involvement in the film when he released the music video for "Love" in December. In addition, he also spoke about how great Black Panther is while also complimenting the work of director Ryan Coogler and the cast of the movie.

Coogler called Lamar "inspirational" and said his "artistic themes align with those we explore in the film". "We're always working on new goals at TDE, so teaming up with Disney, Marvel Studios and the Black Panther film makes flawless sense", added Tiffith. "Panther", "Soundtrack", and "Coming Soon" all plastered on the surface.

Lamar and Sza are two of the rising powerhouses of hip-hop music. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king-and Black Panther-is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk.
