Kwara United player, officials injured in auto crash

Some Kwara United players have been hospitalised after their team bus was involved in a crash while on their way to their base Ilorin.

Although, some members of the team escaped unhurt, the degree of the injuries is yet to be ascertained.

Kwara United management contested the format in a statement issued by the club's Media Officer, Abdul Waheed Bibire.

He said: "The driver was avoiding hitting the auto, and lost control".

The players were on their way back to Ilorin following the conclusion of the Bet9ja NNL Super 4 tournament in Lagos.

The injured players have been taken to an hospital where they are receiving treatment.

No life was lost in the incident, which occurred around Ibadan, in which the team bus was badly damaged.

He said that the accident occurred when the bus attempted to avoid hitting a vehicle.

"We thank God that no life was lost to the incident; we will proceed to Ilorin today", Oke said.

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Kwara Utd has suffered an automobile crash.
