I will for a little bit after reading about insane Arkansas man Tony Thomas stabbing his wife to death for switching off a football game in November.

The incident took place on November 19 when the accused, who was reportedly watching a football game, got infuriated with his wife after she changed the television channel while he was outside having a smoke, reports said Tuesday.

Tony Thomas, 58, reportedly admitted to investigators that he stabbed his wife after she changed the TV channel from football. An affidavit from Lonoke County Detective Anthony Counts stated that Thomas said he "blacked out" and "came to" standing over his wife with a knife.

When interviewed, Thomas admitted that he and his wife were having an argument when he stabbed her.

Thomas was charged Monday in the case, which included habitual offender charges due to previous felony convictions.

Tony said he blacked out and "came to" while standing over the woman with a knife in his hands in their blood-spattered home, according to the affidavit.

A sheriff's affidavit says Thomas called police after the stabbing. He asked the dispatcher for a "meat wagon and police", according to the affidavit. However, the deputies were already on their way to the crime spot even before Thomas called them as they had received a tip from an unidentified witness.

A witness said she heard breaking glass and then saw Thomas stabbing his wife, and the witness said she ran outside and flagged down a passerby for help.

Thomas asked his wife, Elke, what the score was before things escalated into an argument, according to a court document obtained by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Responding police officers found Tony sitting next to his wife's body covered with the blanket. He is scheduled to appear in court January 22.

Just over a month before her violent death, Elke had filed for an order of protection from her husband after he allegedly grabbed her, but the her request was denied because of 'insufficient proof'.
