Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5M to Michelle Williams' $800

It was depressing enough that most of the film's cast and crew worked for nothing during Thanksgiving week because former star Kevin Spacey assaulted and harassed many, many young boys (Michelle Williams took $80 per diem), but Wahlberg's greedy stand-off is beyond reprehensible.

Since news broke that Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million (and Michelle Williams was paid less than $1000) for a week of reshoots on Ridley Scott's All the Money in the World, neither party has commented.

"What he said was, 'I will not approve Christopher Plummer unless you pay me.' And that's how he (expletive) them", a source close to the situation told USA Today.

A separate inside source said Wahlberg had his lawyer write a letter formally rejecting Plummer for the role unless his financial demands were met.

Representatives for Wahlberg and Williams have not yet responded to Vanity Fair's request for comment. Williams was reportedly paid less than $1,000 for the reshoots. That works out to Williams being paid less than one-tenth of 1 per cent of her male co-star.

Wiliams has also been quoted as saying about the re-shoot, "I'd be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me". "They all came in for free".

She also made a point of stressing the fact that giving up her holiday and working without pay were both sacrifices she was happy to make given the situation. But according to USA Today, Wahlberg had a clause in his contract that gave him the ability to approve co-stars.

"Everyone did it for nothing", Scott told USA Today last month. 'Christopher had to get paid.

She lost out at the Golden Globes on Sunday to Frances McDormand, but proved to be the flawless date for her guest, #MeToo creator Tarana Burke. It looks like the only thing it would take to get Marky Mark to take time out of his busy pants-dropping schedule is some good old-fashioned co-star leveraging.

When asked about working with Plummer in the film after Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct, Williams says she was "not talking about that".
