Paige Not Getting Cleared, Done As WWE Wrestler

Paige Not Getting Cleared, Done As WWE Wrestler

At a December 28 house show, Paige received a kick from Sasha Banks and fell to the ground.

It was believed at the time that Paige had suffered a stinger, leading to her losing feeling in her extremities.

It's a situation described as similar to Edge's medical disqualification from competing in the ring. WWE is still advertising her for the women's Royal Rumble match.

Going in Raw Stone Cold attacks Tyson, DX invade WCW with a tank.

Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) will no longer be allowed to wrestle for WWE due to a neck injury.

It's obviously devastating news for a 25-year-old Paige, who was just in the midst of her prime wrestling years. Due to her prior neck injury, WWE has kept her out of the ring since, but clearly thought she would be okay, since they recently announced her as an entrant in the first ever women's Royal Rumble match that's set to take place on January 28.

She then underwent neck surgery before being axed for 60 days for violating the wellness policy again in October 2016.

By September 2011, Paige had signed a developmental contract with WWE, and reported to the company's developmental territory known as Florida Championship Wrestling. And it's also worth noting she was involved in a controversial relationship with former WWE star, Alberto Del Rio. Hopefully, her recent alliance with Absolution can see her remain in the company as on-screen presence. With her Divas championship win, she was also the youngest woman to hold the belt at 21 years of age. The belief now is that she is finished as an in-ring wrestler. Despite making her return to WWE two months ago, she may never be medically cleared by WWE in the near future.

WWE have yet to release an official statement.

The worst possible news has sadly become a reality for injured WWE superstar, Paige.
