Pakistan to bat first in opposition to New Zealand in 2nd ODI

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in the second one-day cricket worldwide at Saxton Oval on Tuesday.

So far both Pakistani Bowling and Batting haven't been up to the mark; and if the batting lineup was yet unable to get rid of its fragile nature, the dependable bowling lineup also seemed struggling in New Zealand.

But, Williamson was not completely happy, especially with the bowling to lower-order batsmen.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat as they look to wrap up the series in game three against Pakistan in Dunedin on Saturday.

Pakistan recovered from 141 for 7 in the 37th over in Nelson, to set a respectable tally of 246 for 9.

Kane Williamson of New Zealand.

The green-shirts will be playing third game to avoid a series defeat.

New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson (captain), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Todd Astle, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult.

However, they suffered a blow on the morning of the match with Fakhar Zaman, who made an unbeaten 82 in Wellington, ruled out with injury and replaced by Imam ul-Haq. Mohammad Amir did well to pull things back from himself, conceding only 18 runs from five overs in the second game after an expensive outing in Wellington, but the other bowlers continued to leak runs.
