Samsung Elec, LG Display Get Spotlight at CES

This new TV is more of a technological showcase than a marketable commodity at least for the time being.

But even though some of these TVs may not be available for purchase, they can point to what might come in the future, according to Patrick Moorhead, president of tech analysis firm Moor Insights & Strategy.

Any company that uses the technology can decide how to best hide the display when its off.

The TV features a 146-inch display that uses self-emitting MicroLED technology, which Samsung said delivers high definition visuals without restrictions to size, resolution, or form. The Wall is a modular television that dwarfs anything else on the show floor. Using this unique technology, LG Open Frame OLED displays for business-to-business applications are able to flex for a truly customizable approach that is both a work of art and functional digital signage.

The modular technology behind The Wall allows the TV to be customised to individual viewing room needs. Fortunately, that isn't the case thanks to Samsung's special MicroLED tech doing the heavy lifting.

The other really unusual technology was Samsung's MicroLED technology. It doesn't require color filters or backlighting. The name of the TV itself, however, is entirely appropriate: The Wall. "But the rest of the wall can continue to display other things: family memories, simulated decor, or the avatars of family members watching remotely".

Touted as a TV with artificial intelligence, the Samsung Q9S packs in some serious processing power to run a sophisticated AI engine that converts any format - be it 4K, FullHD, or SD - into 8K resolution through the magic of upscaling.

Samsung revealed a television concept they're calling "The Wall". "The addition of a voice assistant provides an answer to an actual consumer problem".

Other manufacturers also unveiled the best they now have to offer. For example, you can ask Alexa to search for movies or play Amazon content on a Fire TV.

Though, LG has still not proposed a price line for its brand new model- 88-inch 8K TV (OLED) television, but we can surely believe to see this 1 expense tens of 1000's of dollars, which is quite a fair deal.
