Seal Calls Out Oprah Over Harvey Weinstein Rumors

The singer called the TV star "sanctimonious" and accused her of ignoring Harvey Weinstein's misconduct. In a show of solidarity Winfrey, who was honoured with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the ceremony, joined the majority of actors who choose to wear black.

Seal had reposted a meme that showed two photos of Oprah: one of her kissing disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein on the cheek, and another of her smiling as he leaned over to speak to her. The mother-of-one commented on the meme he posted to his 113k Instagram followers, writing, "Hmm".

Do you think Oprah knew, or is Seal just sick of hosting Sirius XM Christmas specials and ready to be back in the limelight?

In the caption to his Instagram post on Wednesday, which featured pictures of Oprah with Weinstein, Seal wrote, "Oh I forgot, that's'd heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed [sic] actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into". Graham told the Times it's essentially up to the public, suggesting the already massive support for her may convince Oprah in the end.

That's the big question looming over media superstar Oprah Winfrey after the electrifying and inspirational speech that she delivered at Hollywood's Golden Globe awards.

In her powerful speech, Oprah spoke about press freedom, racism and sexual abuse before receiving a standing ovation with her closing words about the future. "It was somewhere in Rosa Parks" heart nearly 11 years later, when she made the decision to stay seated on that bus in Montgomery, and it's here with every woman who chooses to say, "Me too.' And every man -every man who chooses to listen".

The news comes as President Trump, speaking on speculation that Winfrey is considering a 2020 US Presidential bid, claimed he would beat her if she make run for office. With the reality show now playing out on Capitol Hill, a former daytime TV correspondent making a serious run at the Oval Office doesn't seem so far-fetched. He started by saying that he has an enormous amount respect for Oprah and her achievements and contributions. Asked if Winfrey had the right set of skills to run the country, Spielberg pointed out: "Does our current president have the skill set to be president?"

Currently, Oprah is listed at 8/1 to win the White House at the offshore betting site 5dimes - meaning a $100 bet would win you $800 should she take the presidency in 2020. Recy Taylor died 10 days ago, just shy of her 98th birthday. "You live in the Sunken Place".

Fallon chimed in by noting that sources "close" to Oprah reportedly told CNN that she is "actively thinking" about running.
