Sheriff: Mother mistakenly killed in murder-for-hire plot in Osceola County

A Florida woman found dead in favor of the street was erroneously focused in a murder-for-enlist plot started by an adoration triangle, police said.

Their alleged plan went wrong when the hired killers murdered the wrong woman, officials said.

According to investigators, Ishnar Marie Lopez-Ramos was looking to murder a woman who was involved with a man she also had romantic feelings for, according to Fox 35.

Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson amid a news meeting Friday told correspondents the suspects purposefully focused on the 42-year-old Kissimmee inhabitant due to an instance of mixed up character.

It wasn't until the suspects took the woman to an apartment in Orlando that they allegedly realized they had abducted the wrong person.

"The victim was not the actual target of the murder for hire that was actually killed". They followed Janice Zengotita-Torres home and forced her into the back of her vehicle.

Ramos-Rivera and Montes continued to use Zengotita-Torres' cards after they dumped her body, prompting authorities to stake out ATMs in the area.

It turns out that the victim was mistaken for the target of a murder-for-hire plot, Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson said. She died of suffocation. The only similarity between Zengotita-Torres and the intended target was that they both worked at the same store, the report said. Gibson said they abandoned the vehicle in Orange County.

"All three confirmed that this was a murder-for-hire and that the victim was mistakenly - again, mistakenly - targeted and murdered as being the person they thought was the intended victim", Gibson said.

Investigators arrested Lopez-Ramos after she used Zengotita-Torres' ATM card, the station reported.

"The heinous murder of one of our own citizens will not be tolerated in Osceola County", Gibson said.

"It was just a mistaken identity, I don't say that lightly, that this woman lost her life for no reason".

Gibson said the suspects had moved to central Florida from Puerto Rico in December. "This mother, this wife, this daughter, for no reason at all", Sheriff Gibson said.

Lopez-Ramos, Ramos-Rivera and Quinones-Montes have been booked in Osceola County Jail and face charges of premeditated first-degree murder, according to jail records.
