XQc Suspended for Making Derogatory Comments on Stream

Dallas Fuel tank player Felix "xQc" Lengyel has been suspended for the entirety of the Overwatch League's first stage.

The comments come following a loss to rival Houston Outlaws and after a string of losses by Dallas Fuel.

While insults are nothing new in the gaming world (much less from professional gamers or Twitch streamers), Muma is one of the few openly gay players in the Overwatch League. xQc stopped talking immediately after making the comments on air.

Dallas Fuel has also issued a statement on the matter, writing: 'We support the Overwatch League's recent decision to suspend Felix "xQx" Lengyel.

Overwatch esports player Felix "xQc" Lengyel is a popular figure, but his fans won't be seeing him compete in the Overwatch League for at least a month.

The league released a statement saying Felix had been suspended for "violating the Overwatch League Code Of Conduct during his individual stream on Thursday".

'We believe in working with our players to help them become the best possible competitors, professionals and teammates. 'That includes work both inside and outside of competition for Felix'.

The Overwatch League announced the punishment on Twitter just before the Dallas Fuel took the league's stage on January 19 to face London Spitfire.

xQc was banned numerous times from Overwatch, the game itself, for different terms of service violations prior to the start of the league in January.

Speaking on Twitter after the incident, xQc said 'I didn't say what I said on stream with malicious intent, I legit did not compute the whole thing before. I speak too fast, everything happens too fast. You're on a great team and I fully expect you to return to full force before playoffs'. He's been accused of throwing matches and abusing the game's reporting system, while others have been punished for taking payments to level up others' characters and sharing accounts.

The Dallas Fuel are still without a win in the Overwatch League.
