Zara Tindall: Queen's granddaughter pregnant with second child

Zara, who is married to former England rugby union captain Mike Tindall, gave birth to the couple's first child, Mia Grace in January 2014, but lost a previous baby in 2016.

A spokeswoman for the couple said at the time: "Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby".

The Queen and the royal family are "very pleased" about the news, according to a rep from Buckingham Palace.

The Queen's other great-grandchildren include Savannah Phillips, 7, and Isla Phillips, 5, (Peter and Autumn Phillips' children and Princess Anne's grandchildren) and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.

In her Christmas speech, the Queen said her family "look forward to welcoming new members into it next year".

Zara suffered a tragic miscarriage in December 2016 after her pregnancy was announced just months before. Their second child will either be 18th or 19th in line to the throne depending on when the Cambridges' baby is born.

As a member of the Great Britain eventing team, she won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics, and won the Eventing World Championship in 2006.
