CONFIRMED: The Rolling Stones will be playing at Croke Park in May

Croke Park will already play host to Taylor Swift on June 15 and 16 while Michael Buble will take to the stage on July 7.

The Rolling Stones have announced details of a huge tour of United Kingdom and Ireland this summer, including dates in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

The Rolling Stones are to play Twickenham Stadium on Tuesday 19 June.

This tour will see the band play hits such as Paint It Black and Brown Sugar while also including a couple of unexpected tracks and randomly selected surprises.

According to Rolling Stones fansite IORR.org, the European tour is rumoured to kick off in Croke Park in May 17th before it heads to London on May 22nd before heading to Manchester, Southampton, Edinburgh, Birmingham before it crosses onto the continent with expected stops in Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic.

His long term partner in crime, Mick Jagger continues: 'This part of the No Filter tour is really special for the Stones. "It's always exhilarating going to cities we haven't played for quite a while and also some new venues for us".

Guitarist Keith Richards told the website the band still had many years of touring to get out of their system, saying: 'It's such a joy to play with this band. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Charlie Watts said: "The Stones audience is the glue that keeps us together". It's heart-warming and I'm glad we make people happy.

With the Stones members planning on coming to Sydney for Exhibition there are rumours swirling of possible live shows.
