PSL 2018: Lahore Qalandars off to aggressive start against Quetta Gladiators

As the PSL 2018 enters its second day on Friday; two more T20s are around the corner; first between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators followed by the second battle between Lahore Qalandars and last night victor Multan Sultans.

Karachi Kings have won it's both matches and leading the score table of PSL 3 while Lahore Qalandar is still in search for the first victory. Afridi while taking the catch made sure that he was at no point in time in contact with the ropes while he was in contact with the ball. Narine blasted 24 runs in an over of Shane Watson that had three fours and two sixes.

Before Narine exacted his revenge by rattling the timber to send Watson back, the Aussie had knocked off for 66.

With Prime TV as PSL's United Kingdom partner, their official website will be providing full match coverage, regular match highlights and interviews. In reply, Multan Sultans achieved the target in 19.1 overs.

Gladiators after winning the toss invited Qalandars to bat first and restricted them to 119/9 despite blazing start by openers Brendon McCullum (30) and Sunil Narine (28). Imad Wasim, Tymall Mills and Irfan took two wickets each while Afridi and Mohammad Amir picked one apiece.

Shahid Afridi is playing for Karachi Kings in the PSL. The left-handed Pakistani star ended up giving a tame return catch to the West Indian fast bowler.

Qalandars has been win-less in the so far losing both their matches. Shahid Afridi (4-1-7-5) and Yasir Shah (4-0-7-4) were the joint record holder for the most economic spell earlier. Karachi's troubles were mainly due to Shane Watson's canny bowling, which saw him pick up three scalps to reach 200 wickets in T20 cricket.

While bating first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 151 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
