Two dead after vehicle runs red light on Victorian highway

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Norlane on Sunday night (11 February), Victoria Police say.

An SUV collided with a sedan on the Princes Highway in Norlane, in Geelong's north, late on Sunday night, witnesses told police.

The 30-year-old man driving the Territory died at the scene, along with the 46-year-old male driver of the Commodore.

His vehicle hit a Commodore sedan, being driven by a 46-year-old man along St Georges Road. The passenger, a 37-year-old Corio man, survived the crash with non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic in the area is now being diverted, with motorists warned of delays.
