Watch The Brand New Trailer For 'Rampage', Starring Dwayne Johnson

The Rock is ready to roll and save humankind once again. As I said earlier, this bad boy is based on an arcade game from 1986 - and the DNA of that certainly does remain - and arrived in an era when the video game medium wasn't exactly known for its storytelling capabilities.

Rampage hits theaters on April 20, and this morning, we finally got our hands on a third official trailer for the film. This new trailer looks to pay great homage to the game and I believe fans of the original game will be pleased. Pictures continues to push forward with more DC films, they are also dedicating quite a bit of their time and money to bringing new video game movies onto the big screen as well. As previously mentioned, we've already seen that in Jumanji so it'll be interesting to see what he does with Rampage. You also need to make it fun and exciting.

One day George starts to mutate, growing larger, more angry and causing mayhem across the United States with Davis in pursuit, searching for a cure.

Both films play up the star's involvement - Skyscraper had a variation of that famous "Daddy's gotta go to work" line, and in Rampage, The Rock warns a thug to not mess with his arms because they're big. You can watch the trailer in the section above. Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below!

Johnson stars here as primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who shares an unshakable bond with George, an extraordinarily intelligent silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. In order to defeat the "other Project Rampage monsters", Okoye will team up with his best friend George the Ape who, near the end of the trailer, turns black.

The finale sees George clash with other animals that have been similarly affected: a wolf called Ralph and a crocodile called Lizzie.
