Winter Olympic Medal Standings As Of Sunday Night

The U.S. picked up its third medal on Sunday, courtesy of team figure skating. They finished behind the Olympic Athletes of Russian Federation and Canada, who took silver and gold, respectively.

Katie Ormerod was an outside shot for gold either in the slopestyle or the big air but suffered two bad training falls, breaking first her wrist and then more seriously her heel, forcing her withdrawal. Lurie Blouin of Canada and Enni Rukajarvi of Finland finished second and third on the podium. Seventeen-year-old Red Gerard came from the rear of the pack with a almost ideal final run, and coupled with uncharacteristic falls from the top competitors paved the way for the first-time Olympian to win gold.

-Short-track speedskating: Coverage of the men's 1500m gold medal final will take place (5:00 a.m., NBCSN).

The 2018 Winter Olympics keep rolling along in South Korea. Four of these medals come from Speed Skating, where the country won two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

American figure skaters figured to be competing for gold, but in the team event, they've had some struggles.

"However, this is a particularly stretching target given the high risks and low margins for errors across a range of events we have medal opportunities in". But they are now third in the team event standings.

Canada, while still looking for its first gold medal, has managed to rack up four medals as well, with three silver and one bronze. Los Angeles will host the 2028 Olympics, bringing the Games back to the United States for the first time since Salt Lake City hosted in 2002.

-Alpine skiing: Men will compete in downhill skiing (Live starting at 8 p.m., NBC). Arnd Peiffer won the biathlon men's 10km sprint for Germany.

The Netherlands comes in second place in the total number of medals with five, including two gold, two silver, and one bronze. Marit Bjoergen won the silver medal in women's category of the same event.

The events will be broadcast on NBC and NBCSN (all times ET).

-Ski jumping: Men will compete in the normal hill individual final (7:35 a.m., NBCSN).
