Zidane wants major Man Utd, Chelsea target at Real Madrid 'for life'

Real Madrid midfielder Isco is out of favour with manager Zinedine Zidane and is likely to be sold to one of a long list of suitors this summer, and the La Liga club's press mouthpiece AS believe Liverpool will be in the running for the 25-year-old Spanish worldwide.

Isco was an unused substitute as Madrid slumped to a 3-0 El Clasico loss against Barcelona before Christmas, while last weekend's goalscoring contribution to the 2-2 draw at Levante also came from the bench.

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has once again refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid.

However, the situation encountered a major U-turn in the second half of the season after Isco took advantage of injury to Gareth Bale to establish himself as a regular starter for Zidane during the run-in, helping Real to win both La Liga and the Champions League.

To make room for him in the squad, Chelsea were believed to be interested in taking Isco as a replacement.

As per the Independent, his exploits in the Chelsea net have caught the eye of Real Madrid. I never heard anything.

He continued: "Zidane is a huge admirer of Isco's style of play and what he can offer the team and for this reason opted to keep faith in the player deeming that he would be instrumental in the creative play of the side".

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder in recent days.

Whether that will stop Isco wanting to move is yet to be seen but it's safe to say a sale will not happen if it's up to Zidane.

But French boss Zidane has insisted the former Malaga man is going nowhere. "It's a lie. You've asked me and I've answered you, so as to put this matter to bed". You recently asked me why I did not sign [anyone in January].

"I said I've always believed in my team and I will do until the very end".

"He is very good and he has shown".

It has now been reported that if Zidane wants to offload Isco in the coming transfer window if he is still Los Blancos' boss. Everyone in this squad is important. All that I'm focusing on is tomorrow's game.
