Heather Locklear charged with battery of first responders

Locklear, 56, who is now in treatment at a medical facility, became belligerent with officers and was allegedly "combative, flailing, kicking" at officers as they tried to take her into custody.

A Ventura County Sheriff spokesperson said she turned "combative" and resisted arrest when deputies responded to a domestic violence call from her house and found her boyfriend had sustained a visible "traumatic" injury.

The 56-year-old actress was charged with four misdemeanor counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting or obstructing a police officer stemming from a fight she had with her boyfriend February 25, Chris Heisser.

Locklear's representatives did not immediately reply to requests for comment. Now, Ventura County's Senior Deputy District Attorney Thomas Dunlevy did not confirm the bevy of charges facing Heather, but did reveal that the actress' case was scheduled for court today (March 13) at 9 a.m. Locklear was arrested last month on domestic violence charges after her brother called police and claimed she and her boyfriend were drunk and fighting.

Locklear, who was allegedly "extremely intoxicated" at the time of the arrest, was taken in for medical evaluation instead of jail.

Locklear, who is now in rehab following her arrest, is set to be arraigned on Tuesday in Ventura.

Heather also screamed, "You f****** deserve your kids to die!" According to reports, Locklear has been slapped with FOUR counts of misdemeanor battery against an officer or emergency personnel. "And when you find yourself in that position, think of me!"

The threat led to police executing a search warrant at the Thousand Oaks home. Police learned during their investigation that Locklear purchased a gun in 1985 and registered it under her name.
