OH babysitter accused of beating 3-year-old girl to near death

Partin pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of felonious assault and felony child endangering, the AP reported.

First responders found her unresponsive, with labored breathing and obvious bruises about her head and face, the sheriff's office said in a prepared statement.

Jason Wesche says his 3-year-old daughter, Hannah, was fine before he dropped her off at her babysitter's home Thursday morning.

The 3-year-old's father, Jason Wesche, told WWSB his daughter has been diagnosed as officially brain dead and is not expected to survive.

Partin, 35, called 911 from her home last Thursday morning. Jones said she admitted to "striking" the girl.

Hannah was taken from the home to Fort Hamilton Hospital and then flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Three-year-old Hannah Wesche, of Hamilton Township, was on life support at a hospital and is reportedly brain dead.

"Within the next couple of days, we've been told that it's going to come to an end", he told a judge, according to Fox 19 Cincinnati. Bayne said that after Hannah is gone, they plan to keep her memory alive by donating the funds that are leftover towards preventing and stopping child abuse. Cases like this rip your heart out.

"I mean it unimaginable".

"We want justice for her", Bayne said. I can't begin to explain the feeling of losing a child at the hands of this....of just a violent act.

Hannah's family said that bruises would pop up from time to time, but there was always an explanation.

Jones urged parents to thoroughly vet the people who are watching their children.

Magistrate William Nally set bond at $30,000 cash.

"Get background checks, talk to neighbors, friends and family members before letting anyone watch your children, know who you are leaving your babies with", he said.

Partin is expected to appear in court Monday for an arraignment.
