Patriots running back Dion Lewis finds a new home in Tennessee

In addition to the New England Patriots, seven teams are believed to have interest in signing Dion Lewis.

In Schefter's initial tweet, the deal between Lewis and the Titans was reportedly for four years.

Lewis spent the first two years of his career with the Eagles, amassing only 36 carries while Philadelphia chose to lean upon the services of larger running backs.

The competitive market for Lewis' services comes as little surprise, despite the fact he has played a full season just once since entering the league in 2011. Though injuries limited him to just 14 regular season games in his first two seasons in Foxborough, Lewis's impact as a dynamic threat out of the backfield helped keep New England atop the National Football League hierarchy.

Lewis' best season came in 2017 when he started eight regular season games for the Patriots and rushed for 896 yards on 180 carries (5.0 yards per carry average) with six touchdowns. Cornerback Malcolm Butler plans to sign a five-year deal with the Titans.

He's the exact type of shifty, dual-threat back the Titans needed in the backfield alongside Henry.

Lewis made the 2015 Patriots opening day roster as the starting running back and impressed the world in his first game action since 2012. He also added 32 receptions for 214 yards and three touchdowns, all while the Patriots employed a running back-by-committee.

Marcus Mariota will be more than happy to have a back like Lewis, who can catch as well as he runs.
