Rally 4 Revealed for PC and Consoles

It's been a long 15 years since the last game in the V-Rally series, after what was then Infogrames chose to give up after the third game, but now Bigben are revitalising it with Kylotonn Games behind the wheel. Yes, it really been that long.

V-Rally was first released in 1997 on PlayStation 1, revolutionizing the genre with 3 game modes and a selection of real-world vehicles and famous tracks. Kylotonn has some heritage with the series, too, with game director Alain Jarniou having worked on V-Rally 3 on the PlayStation 2.

The V-Rally franchise hasn't been seen in 15 years and it's being brought by back with help from a developer from V-Rally 3. "I'm very proud to be working on the franchise again 15 years later".

V-Rally 4 is scheduled for release on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch in September 2018.

Over 50 auto models will be featured, including the most famous in rallying and extreme motorsport, ready for you to test drive, collect, upgrade, and customize! It will also be the first game developed by Kylotonn available on the Nintendo Switch.

V-Rally Cross: Leave your opponents in the dust on these dirt and asphalt tracks and take on 7 expert adversaries.

Kylotonn are promising that V-Rally 4 will strike the same balance between "sensation, presentation, and simulation" as the original.

Buggy: Hop into your all-terrain vehicle to win the race on these particularly rugged tracks.

It'll boast some 50 models of vehicle and a variety of different events including straight-up rally, gymkhana, rallycross, hillclimbs and buggy events.

The game has received its official announcement trailer, putting us in this modern Rally era. Of course, the question now is whether the French studio will release another officially-licensed WRC game this year.
