Sonam Kapoor's The Zoya Factor to release in April next year

Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor will be paired up with Dulquer Salmaan in her upcoming project, based on Anuja Chauhan's book, The Zoya Factor. These reports came in as a pleasant news for all Dulquer Salmaan fans but an official confirmation was awaited. The film titled The Zoya Factor directed by "Tere Bin Laden" fame director Abhishek Sharma, is an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's bestseller.

Sharing his excitement over bagging his second Bollywood project, Dulquer tweeted along with the poster, "Now this one is really special for me!"

According to Mumbai Mirror, the film is expected to go on the floors in August and will release on 5th April 2019. "Co-starring Sonam Kapoor, directed by Abhishek Sharma". This is the first time that we'll see Sonam and Dulquer share screen space with each other. While Dulquer's character hails from North originally, the film will portray him as a South Indian guy with remarkable Hindi speaking skills. Sonam was sent an autographed copy of the book after he saw Neerja. "I'm excited that Pooja and Aarti are making this film with me and Abhishek (Sharma), who is brilliant with actors".

"Cricket woven into a rom-com and touching on superstition and luck, it's an wonderful book for a screen adaptation". The book has many layers, characters and tracks. He was quoted as saying by the tabloid, "I knew immediately that this was the boy we were looking for". Karwan has Dulquer playing the lead along with Irrfan Khan, Kriti Kharbanda and Mithila Palkar in the supporting roles. Zoya Solanki who was born at the moment when India lifted the 1983 World Cup. The story revolves around an advertising professional who turns out to be a lucky charm for the Indian cricket team. Eventually, Zoya falls for skipper Nikhil Khoda who doesn't believe in luck and superstitions.
